Jennifer + Shawn

Jennifer and Shawn recently got married at the Botanical Gardens in Huntsville, Alabama. Jennifer put so much thought and planning in every minute of their special day. I love it when brides and sometimes even the grooms have special details placed everywhere. It is well worth the extra time and planning to get pictures like these. For something fun, Jennifer gave all her bridesmaids a pair of super hero socks to wear which they took time to model during the reception. Jennifer is one of the most gracious brides that I have ever had the opportunity to meet and photograph. Jenniferblog 1 Jennifer blog 2 Jennifer blog 3 JenniferBlogv4 jenniferblog5

Crystal + Joseph

Crystal and Joseph had a beautiful emotion filled day for their wedding at Riverbend Event Center. Joseph (a self proclaimed nerd) walked down the aisle to Ridin' Dirty much to the delight of all the guests. When they were pronounced man and wife both Crystal and Joseph updated their Facebook status! Crystal has a very special relationship with her parents that caused all of us to tear up. I am not going to lie- Joseph can get down and dance with the best of 'em and that's the pastor dancing with him - happy happy wedding! :)Untitled-1 Untitled-2 Untitled-3

Allison's Bridal Session

IMG_1515
How would we begin to describe this bridal session? Beauty, elegance, and passion seem to be like a great place to start.
IMG_1274

Allison was married a few weeks ago and she really wanted to start her wedding celebration by having a personalized bridal session to "try out" her elegant wedding dress and to make sure that it was the perfect fit for her perfect day.
IMG_1430
Yes, Allison is a true beauty just like all my brides are, but she also embraces a grateful and pure heart of gold.  The best thing is when a girl lets her hair down.

Jessica's Bridal Session

Remember Jessica from her wedding blog? Well here is her bridal session at Sewanee University. We ran out of time before her big day to squeeze this in, but we were more than willing to get her money's workth out of that dress... so we packed the cars and headed east to this beautiful location.

She know how to work the camera. It's hard to believe that I met her four years ago and now she is one of my brides. My how the time does fly...Look how she has grown into a beautiful young woman.

No one is going to take that smile off of her face, it has been on there since the moment she said she would be Travis's wife!

I asked her how married life is going for her. She replied, "It's everything that I hoped it would be and more." I guess she is loving every minute of being Mrs. Mitchell!

I'm sure I will be photographing her again in the near future. She has a long road ahead of her with lots of twists and turns that life will bring. She is loving being a wife and wouldn't trade it for anything!

Thanks Jessica! You are amazing! Talk to you soon.

CoCo's Bridal Session!

Autumn leaves are one of the most specials things in nature.
They change from green to red, orange, and eventually to brown.
Co Co wanted her bridal session to be extra special since she is so excited about being a bride!
I though this location would be perfect for her classy style...

Her smile is so genuine and sweet!

She is so classy and elegant. She is full of life and ready to take what the world has to offer her.

CoCo is very influential. She is a volleyball and basketball coach for a local high school. She has a great job that takes up a lot of her time, so I was more than glad to spend the day with her just focusing on her big day and that amazing dress.

Coco- you look gorgeous! I am so excited and can not wait till your big day! It will be extra special and one that you will never forget.

Ashley Gatlin's Bridal

You probably remember Ashley...We just did her and Matt's engagement session recently (where he proposed by tying her ring to a fishing line) ! You can tell she can't wait to become a wife. For her bridal session, we went to the courthouse in Pulaski where she works. It turned out to be a great location!

Ashley shared with us a few special touches she plans on adding to her big day:

"I feel all of the little details make this wedding special to Matt and I. All of the details reflect who we are and what we like. It is going to be an elegant, country, and rustic style wedding. It is going to pull together to be a very unique wedding."

We are so excited for you Ashley! It won't be long now..

Jenny Gray - Flanigan's Bridal

Finally, I get to share with you my daughter on her big day. Even with the extra help I received from my photography ready friends, I couldn't resist capturing some shots of my own...Here is Jenny, before the ceremony, one of the biggest days of my life-letting my daughter move on to the next chapter in her life. Although, a mother never really lets go, even when she gives her daughter away on her wedding day. A mother simply chooses to trust in some other significant person to take care of her when she's not around. I could not ask for a better person than David to do that for me..

Look at this amazing room found in a house on Lewisburg Hwy
that the owner was nice enough to let us use.
He has kept it in the Victorian Era perfectly.

Maghan's Bridal

Maghan recently got married but before she did, she wanted to have a bridal session all of her own. I thought it was a great way to truly get some use out of that wedding dress so we went to the botanical gardens. The weather was perfect and comfortably to spend the day playing with the flowers and showing off a beautiful bride to be.

IMG_8019
We chatted with Maghan during the shoot to find out what she was most excited about her big day she responded: being withall our family and friends, most of all seeing my brother who I have not seen in over a year.

What special touches is she going to add to her wedding day? They are having a special moment to honor of Eric's mother who passed away about five years ago and a unity candle.

Any plans for the honeymoon? Yes, a trip to Gatlinburg to see the mountains.

What advice would you give other brides who are planning their weddings this year? Be happy all the time. If you don't agree about things regarding the wedding then talk it out. Everything will eventually fall into place.
