Drew turns TWO!

The afternoon with Drew and his sweet mom and dad was so much fun. Drew has the greatest house filled with toys and his loving pets. Drew never stopped smiling and giggling and that makes our job so much easier at Gray Photography. As you can see, Drew even managed to get in a little "flower planting" or should we say "flower pulling"! drew v2

Sanderson Family Session

I bet there is no way that you will be able to guess what this dashing young man's favorite color is? Blue, blue, blue! Sure he is small, but boy does this little man have spunk. Let me tell you, he sure does love to do what little boys do. He drives his little car better than most men and with a great deal of confidence and focus. He was just one small member of a truly inspiring family which I was privileged to work with this year.

Blue jean overalls can be described as authentic and timeless. These memories that I have captured today will be a blessing to his mother one day when he is grown. Even though he is small now, he is trying his best to grow as fast as the weeds. Dirt does not phase him and neither does this humid Tennessee heat on a hot June afternoon. All he needs is fishing pole to be entertained. Oh and his favorite navy blue hat!

The rest of this blessed family have inviting personalities as well. It really is an honor to be around an all American family who still knows how to laugh, joke, and smile together. It's families like this that make my job so easy to do. I know that their bond will not only last, but strengthen and grow each passing season.

Justin's Family

This is Justin's Family! Justin is a good friend of ours and he wanted to have us spend a little time with his sister, her husband, and his nephew. We decided that we wanted a rustic feel for this family shoot since it was in the Fall. We had to let this precious little boy climb on the hay bales.

Here is Justin's sister and brother-in- law.

I wonder what is so special about baby blue eyes? They really do an amazing job of adding color to any photo. And that curly hair makes me smile everytime I think about it.
Hmmmm...wonder what he is going to get into next?

Many thanks to Justin for allowing us to spend the day with his beautiful family.
We had such a good time!
Can't wait to see you all again soon!

The Gorham Family

This is the best time of the year to book a family session. The air is cool and crisp - the sky is golden and glowing! Eveyone can enjoy being together in this beautiful season.

A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost...Being a sister is probably the most competitive relationship within the family, but once the sisters are grown, it becomes the strongest relationship.

A daughter may outgrow your lap, but will never outgrow your heart.

Check out those blue eyes, aren't they astonishing..

Other things may change, but we will begin and end as a family. Thanks again to this wonderful family for sharing a day with us. It was such a great experience!

The Swindall Family 2010

It's great to see the Swindall's again. Jennifer is so good about getting her family together for a photo session.

Oliva has literally grown up before my eyes. It is hard for me to believe how much she has matured over the years that I have known her.

Owen has grown, also. On previous shoots he could be seen playing with trucks and plastic animals. Before we know it, he will be playing sports and will be busy with school work and friends.

Albert Einstein once said, "Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life!"  This family is beautiful inside and out.I enjoy being with them so much. I can't wait for our next session!

The Porter Family

Meet the Porter Family!  They wanted a session at the blue door. I haven't been able to shoot here in a while and it was nice to go back for one last shoot. I hate to say that it is not as beautiful as it once was.. it is starting to deteriorate and fade more with each day but that didn't stop this family from getting the shoot that they always wanted.

To the outside world, we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.

Smiles are the greatest gift of all.

You don't choose your family.  They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.

Family means putting your arms around each other and being there no matter what life has to throw your way.

A special thank you goes out to this wonderful and special family. I had a great time spending the afternoon with all of you. I can't wait to see you in the future!

The Swansons

Even more repeat offenders, The Swanson Family! These lovely people are not  strangers to my camera. I have to schedule them in at least once a year, sometimes more. I don't mind one bit though because they make my day each time I get to capture their love and growth as a family. Each time they come around they are more connected, more in tune with one another. It mesmorizes me!

It's their little boy just precious. Last time we shot him, he had a mohawk. He has such a bright personality- full of life and has a charm all his own.

I can't believe how big he has gotten. He is going to be a heart breaker when he grows up. I find it difficult to not let him do what he wants to do. I spend the majority of this day just following him. It was a little adventure for just the three of them.
